Biography

Sergeant Samuel Wisner was born in 1763 in Warwick, New York. His father, Lt. Thomas was 27 and his mother, Jemima Jayne was 33. His first wife and mother of his children's name is not known. He married his second wife, Julaner Tedd, in New Shongum, NJ. He was a sergeant in The New York State militia (Cayuga County) and received a pension commencing March 25, 1831. He died in Springport, Cayuga County, NY in 1848 and was buried in the Union Cemetery, having lived a long life of 85 years. His wife Julaner was granted a pension which was transferred to Wisconsin. She died d.s.p. (Copied from Find a Grave.)
