Biography
The daughter of Jehiel Wisner (1822-1902) and Harriet Newell Deming (1823-1900), Emily Wisner was born in Franklin Township, Michigan in 1846.[citation needed] She lived there with her family.[1] They later moved to Athens Township, in Calhoun County.[2] Her siblings included:
Clara Wisner (1847-1884)
Sarah Ann Wisner (1850-1937)
Frances Wisner (1855-1866)
George Wisner (1856-1867)
Edward John Wisner (1860-1915)
Linnie Wisner (1863-1887)
Harriet Wisner (1867-)
Emily Wisner married John Hanson, marrying in Union City, Michigan on March 15, 1868[3] and having five children together. They made their home in Athens Township.[4] Emily Hanson passed away there at the age of 29[citation needed] and is buried at Walker Cemetery in Athens Township.[5]
