Biography

Edna Wisner, a remarkable woman with a life marked by significant milestones and transitions, was born on January 7, 1890, in Arkansas. She was the daughter of Edgar Thomas Wisner and Ella Maria (Larrabee) Wisner, and she spent her early years in the picturesque Hico Township, Benton County, Arkansas. In 1910, we find her residing in Siloam Spring Township, Benton County, still within the bounds of her native state.

In the year 1911, Edna embarked on a new chapter in her life by marrying Moses Tran Clegg on July 26, in Benton County, Arkansas. Following their union, the couple decided to set their sights on a different horizon and made the bold move to Honolulu, Hawaii, a place where they would start a family and lay down roots. Unfortunately, their marital bliss was cut short when Moses tragically passed away on August 9, 1918, leaving Edna to raise their three children, the youngest born after her husband's demise.

The 1920s saw Edna returning to the mainland, as she was living in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas during that time. Her journey of personal and professional growth continued as she transitioned into the role of a bookkeeper. By 1930, she had relocated to the vibrant city of Oakland, Alameda County, California, specifically residing on Grand Avenue. Edna's career took an interesting turn, as she had now become a bookkeeper, a profession that would undoubtedly have demanded great skill and precision.

The 1940s marked a change of scenery yet again for Edna, as she moved to Glendale, Los Angeles County, California. Her life's journey was nothing short of a tapestry, weaving together various experiences and roles. By 1950, she had transitioned into a new career as a social worker, a testament to her compassion and desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

On June 17, 1950, Edna Wisner found love once more and married Charles Guido Heiser Jr. in Los Angeles County, California, indicating her willingness to embrace new beginnings and cherish the moments life had to offer.

Tragically, Edna's story reached its final chapter when she passed away on March 8, 1967, in Sacramento County, California. Her final resting place is in Oak Hill Memorial Park, located in San Jose, Santa Clara County, California. Throughout her life, Edna Wisner exhibited resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to both family and community, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire those who learn of her journey.
