Hon. Francis Hugh Lindley Wood was born on 21 September 1873.1 He was the son of Charles Lindley Wood, 2nd Viscount Halifax of Monk Bretton and Lady Agnes Elizabeth Courtenay.1 He died on 17 March 1889 at age 15.1

He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1
