In the 1940s the Woods family lived at 92 Summerhill Rd, Footscray North, Victoria. [1] William Joseph Woods (Agent) and wife Harriet Woods (Home Duties).

On 3 March 1943 [2] he enlisted with the R.A.N.

In 1945 he served on Royal Australian Navy H.M.A.S. Quickmatch and was discharged on 12 April 1946.

On 19 April 1944 HMA Ships NAPIER, NEPAL, NIZAM, QUICKMATCH, and QUIBERON, (destroyers), operated as part of the British Pacific Fleet in the attack on Sabang, (Operation Cockpit), by carrier-borne aircraft.[3]

John Andrew Woods married Joan Mae Cornelius in 1949 in Victoria. [4]

They had two daughters and a son.

In 1949 John Andrew Woods (Carpenter) and Joan Mae Woods (Saleswoman) lived at 37 Lynch St, Footscray, Gellibrand, Victoria. [5]

In 1954 the Woods family lived at 97 Herford Rd, Sunshine, Victoria. John Andrew Woods (Carpenter) and Joan Mae Woods (Home duties). [6]

In 1963 the Woods family lived at 51 Olive Grove, Boronia. John Andrew Woods (Carpenter) and Joan Mae Tyrrell (Home duties) [7]

He passed away in 1967. [8]
