J. Herbert Worden, 57, of Franklin, died Friday, Aug. 14, as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Franklin Mountain. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Congregational Baptist Church in Franklin, with the Rev. James Bartz of Bainbridge officiating. Burial will be in Ouleout Valley Cemetery. Franklin. He was born Jan. 14, 1913, in Pipestone, Minn., a son of David and Elizabeth ( Hastings ) Worden. He married Audrey DeSilva in Bovina on May 30, 1941. She died in 1967. Mr. Worden was an electronics engineer for the Electric Components Division of the Bendix Corp. in Sidney until February 1970. Since then he did various types of work in the area. He was a member of the Congregationalist B a p t i s t Church, the Franklin Rotary Club, a villagt tnute*, a former member of the Franklin Central School Board and several other community activities. He is survived by one son, Michael Worden of Patchogue. L.I.; two brothers, Marshall and Robert Worden of Bloomville; three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Meeghan of Jefferson, Mrs. Elizabeth Schelter of Binghamton and Mrs. Dorothy Armstrong of Oneonta, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Bennett Funeral Home, Franklin.
