Dionysius Wright owned land in Richmond County, Georgia which was across the Savannah River from the Ninety-six District in South Carolina. He was recorded as one of the Magistrates for Richmond County concerning the resolves of Assembly dated Sunday March 1st 1778 requiring all person within this State of the age of sixteen or upward to take the Oath of affirmation of abjuration who have not already done so before some one of five Magistrates within the County to which such persons belong be forthwith published in the Gazette of this State.[1]
Dionysius Wright of South Carolina in Ninety-six district set his hand and fixed his seal to his Last Will and Testament on the 9th day of May 1779 making bequests to:

The will was proved in court on the 20th of March 1780 in Richmond County, Georgia. He passed away between the 9th day of May 1779 (date will was written,) and the 20th day of March 1780 (date will was proved.)
