Biography

Judah Wright was born on May 09, 1743 in Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony. His parents were John Wright and Mary Locke. [1]

He married Tabatha of Bedford in Lexington, Massachusetts. [1]

Together they had these children, the first three in Bedford, [2] [1] and the rest in Holden, Massachusetts: [3]

  1. Tabitha Wright, b. 1768.
  2. Bettey Wright, b. 1770.
  3. Patty Wright, b. 1772.
  4. Judah Wright, b. 1774.
  5. Mary "Polly" Wright, b. 1776.
  6. Stephen Wright, b. 1779.
  7. Hannah Wright, b. 1781.

    Private Judah Wright served with 18th Massachusetts Bay Provincial Regiment (1775), Continental Army during the American Revolution.

He was a minuteman in the Holden company of Capt. James Davis, Col. Ephraim Doolittle's regiment, responding to the alarm of April 19, 1775. [4] [5] [6] [7]
