Research Notes

Adele was living with her grandparents, Oliver M. (b Feb 1841 in NY) and Cornelia J. (b Jan 1842 in RI) Marvin, in 1900. Her parents were not listed in this household.

Possibly the wife of Walter Haverly Damon, b. abt 1885 in Buffalo, NY. They had a son, Walter Haverly Damon on Aug 2 1915 in Cook Co., IL. Also, a daughter, Cornelia (which was Adele's mother's name). And the 1920 census says Adele's father was b. in NY, her mother in NJ.

From the "Daytona Beach Morning Journal," FL, Monday, Aug 18, 1969, p. 3,

Born in Brooklyn, she moved here 19 years ago from Wheaton, Ill. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She is survived by one son; one daughter; one brother and five grandchildren.
