Anna Barbara Wüster was born in Hilsbach Germany in 1702, the daughter of Hans Caspar Wüster and Anna Catharina Wüster (formerly Müller). She was a sister of Caspar Wistar, famous Philadelphia entrepreneur.
In 1720, she married Johannes Eppler, a farmer from the village of Gaiberg.
