Robert was born in 1948. He passed away in 1967.

Robert, the son of Edgar P. Foley of Wakefield MA and Florence S.Wyatt of St Petersburg FL, the stepson of James E. Wyatt of Denver CO, brother of Phillip E. Wyatt and Samuel J. Wyatt, enlisted in the US Marine Corps on July 20, 1966 in Jacksonville FL. He arrived in Vietnam and was assigned to Company C, 1st Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st MARDIV (Rein) FMF.

A Marine squad on a combat patrol in La Thap village complex in Duy Xuyen District received a heavy volume of small arms fire from an enemy force positioned in a tree line. The squad returned fire but weren't able to establish contact, the enemy having fled after the initial volley of fire. Two members of the patrol were hit and killed by the hostile rifle fire, one of the casualties was Pvt Wyatt.

Gravesite Details Phillip enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1967 and was killed in action approximately two kilometers NE of where his brother had died.
