Disputed Parentage
There are internet family trees that make the groundless claim that Christopher Jackson was the son of George Jackson and Elizabeth Wytham. There is no evidence to support this imaginary lineage, which appears to be one of the fabrications on the OneWorldTree.
Biography
Elizabeth Wytham was daughter of Mathew Wytham of Bretynby in Yorkshire. [1]
She married George Jackson of Bedale. [1] Their children were John of Gatonby, Crystofer, Elizabeth, Margery, Margaret, Mary and Anne. [2]
Elizabeth is mentioned in the will of her father Matthew Witham dated dated 5 August 1545. She was already married at that time, and is referred to as "Elsabeth Jakeson, my doughter". George Jackson is mentioned as "my sonne in law" (also called son) and their son John, Matthew's grandson, is also mentioned: "Alsso I wyll that Elsabeth my wyffe shall have on sylver salte with a coveryng duryng hir lyff, and after hyr deyth to remayn to John Jakeson, my doughtter son, of Bedal".[3]

- Date: 1544 West Bretton, Yorkshire, England Unsourced (note - Elizabeth's father was of Brettanby between Richmond and Darlington, about 70 miles from West Bretton) Elizabeth was probably born about 1520, if not earlier - she had a son John mentioned in her father's will 1545, a daughter Margery married 1560, and a daughter Mary married about 1566. Other children have no dated birth sources yet.
