Lathey Yager, aged 61, was found dead in his rooming house, 415 Shamrock street, East Alton, this morning. The body was taken in charge by Coroner Bauer who was notified when the body was discovered at 8:15 after Yager had not appeared for his breakfast. An Ingersoll watch carried by Yager was still running, apparently having been wound when he retired last night and it is though he was stricken and died in his sleep. As far as Coroner Bauer could learn there are no near relatives left by Yager. It was reported that he had a sister-in-law, widow of a deceased brother, living near Moro, and efforts were being made at noon to get into communication with her.
