James B. Yates may have been born about 1786 in North Carolina.[1]
James married Tearcy Gilstrap on 27 January 1820 in Pulaski County, Georgia.[2][3]
His FamilySearch profile has an unsourced death date of 1857, but no sources are found on 19 May 2023 to confirm that death date. His son was possibly born in Decatur County, Georgia in 1838.[1]
