Florence Marie Zimmerman was born on 14 April 1906 in Sabetha, Nemaha, Kansas, United States to Samuel Zimmerman (1882-1960) and Julia Ellen McCormick (1883-1950).^[1]

Sibling

Her father was a general farmer and she lived on the farm in Rock Creek Township, Nemaha County, Kansas with her parents until she married.

Marriage and Family

On 29 November 1928 at the age of 22, she married Thomas Alexander Kerr, Jr. (1906-1989) who was also 22 years of age.
