Biography

Αριστείδης Ιάκωβος was born in 1855. He was the son of Αμβρόσιος Δαμαλάς and Καλλιόπη Ράλλη. He passed away in 1889.

"Occupation: diplomat, actor Officer attached to the Greek delegation at Paris, then to St. Petersburg. A ladies' man he quit his diplomatic career for (his future wife) Sarah Bernhardt's theatrical troop, a marriage with disputes and infidelities (Sturdza). According to Sturdza he and his brother squandered their fortune through their extravgances in Paris during the Belle Epoque. [1]
