Biography
Chester Fulmer was born on March 31, 1893, in Pennsylvania. He was the son of Gibson Fulmer and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Derringer. Chester was baptized at St Mark's United Church of Christ in Easton, Northampton, Pennsylvania on June 6, 1893.[1]
In 1900 and 1910, Chester was living with his parents and siblings in Easton, Northampton, Pennsylvania.[2] [3]
At the age of 22, Chester married Frances Johnson White on July 20, 1915, when she was 21 years old. They had three children - Frances Elizabeth, Marion White, and Chester David.
Chester registered for the World War I draft in June 1917 in Easton, Northampton, Pennsylvania.[4] There is no record that he served during the conflict.
In 1920 and 1930, he was living with his wife and children in Easton, Northampton, Pennsylvania.[5] [6] In 1936, the family moved to Lancaster, Lancaster, Pennsylvania where they were living in 1940, and Chester worked as a buyer.[7]
At the age of 49, Chester registered for the World War II draft in April 1942 in Lancaster, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.[8]
In 1950, the couple was living in Lancaster, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where Chester was a buyer for a retail department store.[9]
He was employed from 1914 until 1938 as a buyer for the former Bush & Bull department store in Easton, Pennsylvania and from 1938 until he retired as a buyer for Hager Brothers department store in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
He died in Easton, Northampton, Pennsylvania on December 30, 1962, at the age of 69.[10][11][12][13] Chester was buried at Easton Heights Cemetery in Easton, Northampton, Pennsylvania.[14]
