Thanks for showing Scotland as one of your interests. If you haven’t yet done so, you are welcome to join the Scotland project via the G-2-G topic. The Project runs the Tartan Trail which encourages those new(er) to Scottish research to get to grips with Scottish sources. There is a wee bit of a wait as each person “hiking the trail” is allocated a mentor to assist and encourage them.
I hope you get a great deal of pleasure collaborating with colleagues in this great project. If you have any questions or wish any advice either send me a private message or email me.
P.S. If you added the tag because WikiTree's Relationship Finder showed a trail between you and a surety baron (or a lot of them, which is common), please see this G2G post on how to assess the quality of the trail.
Let us know if you'd like to join the project by posting an answer to our "G2G Join post".
Members and affiliates can join the Google Group - from that page, send a request to join with your WikiTree ID (so we know who it is).
P.P.S. If you ever get a "Page Not Found" error when you click a link in a WikiTree e-mail, you can usually find a functioning link in the public comments section of your profile page.
* "Richardson" in the previous comment refers to Douglas Richardson, who documents the ancestry of about 240 Gateway Ancestors in his Magna Carta Ancestry. The project was established to review WikiTree profiles against Richardson's works and "badge" those in a project-approved trail (see the project's Glossary for project-specific terms such as a "badged trail").

I saw your Magna Carta tag. You might be interested in the Magna Carta Project, which watches over the surety barons' profiles and many of their descendants, down to Richardson-documented* Gateway Ancestors. Profiles in project-reviewed/approved trails are managed by the project, through the project's Google Group.
WikiTree members who have their pre-1700 badge and want to help the project develop these trails can join the project. If you would just like to help watch over profiles managed or monitored by the Magna Carta Project, you can sign on as a project affiliate by adding Template:Magna Carta Project Affiliate to your profile and sending us a request to join the Google Group.
Cheers,
Liz
* I ran out of room. See my next comment for more about Richardson and clickable links.
This week we have your last stop on the guided tour. Hopefully, you're feeling like a WikiTree pro! If not, you can always revisit the tour stops via the comment boxes on the right side of your profile.
You've covered a lot of ground the past few weeks. Today, we want to give you just a few more tools that can take you even deeper into the WikiTree forest without getting lost: How to Dig a Little Deeper.
You may have been hard at work getting connected to family members who are already here and adding those who were missing. You probably have at least a few profiles that you manage now.
There's a fast and easy way to access those profiles using the Watchlist. So, this week we're going to look at How to Manage Your Watchlist.
If you have questions! Just click my name above the comment, then ask in the comment section of my page. We want to help!
You've been here for several weeks now! We hope your profiles are starting to come together and that you've enjoyed getting to know us a little better.
You're probably getting a good feel for the collaborative nature of WikiTree by now. We know that collaboration isn't always easy. So, we've put together a few pointers that can make working in this type of environment a little easier: How to be a Successful WikiTreer.
Dont hesitate to ask questions as that is the only way we gain knowledge!
It's time for your next stop on your guided tour. This week, we'd like to introduce you to our community and show you some ways to get more involved and stay up to date on everything that's going on: How to Join in the Community.
As always, your questions are welcome!
Thanks, WikiMessenger Cindy
PS Good work so far! Have you noticed on your ancestor profiles on the bottom right is "Research" where you can get sources and more information? Give it a try sometime!
I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Also noticed you made 148 contributions to Wikitree, thank you! Here at WikiTree we like to have our members involved with others; collaboration is key!
Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Here is a list of our WikiTree projects you might like to check out: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Projects
Why don't you also stop by the One Name Studies project, to see if there's already a name study for (surname) going on? The current leaders for that are Doug Lockwood and Alison Andrus. They would be happy to get you started.
You've been here a week now, and we hope you enjoyed your first stop on your guided tour of WikiTree and were able to make good use of the things you learned.
