Did your brother get a yDNA test yet? I was wondering if he is G2a2b2a1, since we both have the same 6th G Grandfather. Gerog 'Hans' Dieter (Teter). Oh, and the name changed with 1756 Henty Teter 1823, when he willed only $1 to his two oldest sons and the farm to his two youngest sons. I shuouldn't post so late at night.. sorry, tere are like 4 George Teters in my family and 2 GWashington Teters, the one of Shiloh fame is https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Teter-57 ..... please give me some feedback ! Just cuz.

My dad hasn't done his DNA, I'll have to hold him down and swab his cheek. LOL! I'm glad you traced the name change! I've been working on my Mason line and haven't worked in the Teter line for a while since I was trusting my good Cousin to do it! Thank you!

Happy to help. Please ask your cousin again, if she would join. Also let her know I would be happy to Contribute any of my findings on the SW Germany, Dieter/Teter/Teters line with her findings. I think I have even found a Castle on the Rhine (St. Goar) that was built by one of our ancestors around 1245, the town has a web page (in German), and I translated the towns history back to about 800 AD. How's everything going? You might be finding duplicate profiles now. We have a Help Page to help you learn what to do with them. Be sure to check for your pending merges by going to FIND, PENDING MERGES, and sort for those waiting on you. Upon completing a merge, be sure to clean up/edit the Biography as ALL information from both profiles are copied and remove any duplicate info.

If you want updates on surnames you can add them by going to MY WIKITREE, NAV HOME PAGE, scroll down to just below WIKI GENEALOGY FEED to EDIT FOLLOWED SURNAMES. You can add up to 20.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those situations.
