All Pre-1700 profiles require Reliable Sources. Projects can provide more details for sources that are reliable for the location/timeframe.

A family tree (see Gilham-640) is not a reliable source for a Pre-1700 profile. The England Project Reliable Sources might help.

I've copied some or most sources from my Ancestry file to Wikitree. I have spent many hours on my and my wife's family history. That includes getting help from people who have pointed out errors in my file. A lot of unrelated people seem interested in my wife's family. It is fun history. You will see a link to The Peerage dot com on my personal page above. I've done enough digging to find many errors in other people's work (OPw). I think you will find my Ancestry file mostly reliable with many detailed references. I've recently been correcting errors and filling in blanks so reliability has improved of late. It takes a lot of time to copy my work into WikiTree so sometimes I will enter a name as a place holder until I can get time to copy the references and sources.

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
