I come from a large catholic family. I was born in Lansing Micigan in 1949. Shortly after I was born my family moved to Auburndale, Florida. A couple of years later we moved to Calahan, Florida. When I was 5 years old my family moved again to Bowliing Green Ohio. I Started Kindergarten there and went through High School in Bowling Green and completed 2 years at Bowling Green State University. I went into the Army in 1969 and returned to Bowling Green two years later. I did not serve in Viet Nam. I started my own family in Bowling Green and after one more semester of college there I transferred to Michigan State University back in East Lansing, Michigan. I graduated with honors in December 1975 with BA in Accounting. After graduation we moved to Houston, Texas where I held various accounting jobs and obtained my CPA license. I got a divorce in 1978 and obtained custody of my kids. in October 1981 I remarried. In January 1984 I started my own accounting practice where I worked with various small businesses and prepared a lot of tax returns etc. In 1994 I bought half interest in a franchised small business and started working there part time. In December 1996 I sold my accounting practice to pursue the franchise full time. I eventually bought out my partner so he could retire. A few years later I sold out to two employees and in 2018 I retired. My wife and I live in Cypress, TX and have a summer home in Ironwood. MI.
