Biography
Mary Sigler was born about 1774 in Virginia. She was the daughter of Jacob and Margaret Sigler. She was listed as daughter Mary Wales in her father's Last Will and Testament, dated 1 April 1817 in Rowan County, North Carolina.[1]
She married Samuel Wales on 4 June 1791 in Surry County, North Carolina.[2]
Research Notes
- At least one source gives her date of birth as 12 Jan 1774, but that is only 23 days separate from the D.O.B. of her sister Margaret (20 Dec 1773). Could they have been twins? In order to maintain consistency, both dates will be changed to "about 1774".
