Biography
Jacob Sigler Jr. was born in Virginia.
Jacob Sigler was born 4 December 1783 in Loudon County, Virginia, United States.[1] He was the son of Jacob and Margaret Sigler. He was listed as son Jacob Sigler in his father's Last Will and Testament, dated 1 April 1817 in Rowan County, North Carolina.[2]
It's believed he married Mary Holeman about 1800. [citation needed].
In the 1870 Census, Jacob Sigler was recorded as 87 years old, living in Princeton, Caldwell County, Kentucky with son Daniel and his family.[3]
Jacob Sigler died 31 August 1873 at his son Daniel Sigler's home in Caldwell County, Kentucky.[1]

There is an erroneous Find A Grave: Memorial #47401673, which I think is misleading people regarding Jacob's death and burial place. It currently shows he died in1870 in Iredell County, North Carolina and is buried at Renegar Cemetery, Eagle Mills, Iredell County, North Carolina, which of course is incorrect. I'll send edits to update the memorial.
