All of my family tree branches have been in the North America since before 1785, and most of them before 1650. This includes Pilgrims, early Jamestown Colony, Spanish rule Florida, and pre 1755 Acadia.
Most of my tree branches go back ten generations or more so mostly what I am working on are my many mistakes .. and trying to add a few new things when they pop up.

I have been doing some work on Ralph Earle (abt.1580-abt.1657) for the England Project and was having a look at surrounding profiles.
There seem to be some problems with his daughter-in-law's Savage line. I have added research notes to some of her ancestor's profiles - still have a few to review though. There do not seem to be sources to support some of the profiles.
Do you have sources we could add? Looking forward to hearing from you and hopefully we can tidy them up and get them sourced and accurate.
Kind regards
SusieO.
Please look for my latest message, sent yesterday, at your WikiTree email address. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks for posting some of your ancestry.com images so those without an active ancestry.com account can still view the image. I know this past year there's been discussion on G2G about how to accomplish this. Did you use the method Deb Durham recommended?

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!
Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.
Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.
Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles that you manage, or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

I am late respondfing to your mail as I was inactive here for a while. Now I have decided to post my ancestors here and spend less time at my ancestry.com account. So my task here is to first enter (one by one rather than use a GEDCOM) my ancestors here at WikiTree. Next, let me add that the vast majority of all my family lines emigrated to America before year 1700. So I realize that I must learn those rules more completely, and that perhaps WikiTree will not accept my tree members in some instances. That is troubling.
One problem so far is my creating duplicate records. This was caused partially by my haste at beliving that the WikiTree auto-search for similar names. And if I could have guessed that a particular cousin had already uploaded a gedcom I would have had strong second-thoughts. At the heart of this issue is my use of the French emigrant's spelling for his name, Burelle. My cousin's current family name is Burel so he used that for the ancestor instead. Thus I continued listing a few earlier generations of this line (and his wife's) until one of those flagged the "duplicate alarm".
I halted work on that path for a few days, but now write you about my wish to smooth this correctly. Most of this falls under the Acadian Group.
Thank you for any help or advice you can send my way.
F Lee Trice
When you are creating those profiles the spelling of the last name that the ancestor used should be the one used. You can locate any duplicates that use the spelling Burel by adding that in the 'Current Last Name' field when you are creating a profile. That will tell the system to look for those too, and help keep you from creating duplicates. You can attach the match if you find it instead of creating a duplicate. Then you can work with the manager to get any ancestor profiles whose sources have the original spelling corrected.

Thank you for the replay and the helpful tips. Also, please know that my full name is Fletcher Lee Trice. I am concerned about security so avoided my first name and often just use Lee. Am still learning here. I ran into anothe family name issue today with my mother's maiden name, DeWolf. I have looked at most sources available and none of them use De_Wolf. I have seen De Wolf, de Wolfe, D'Wolf, D'olph and LDS sometimes uses plain Wolf for an ancestor of their founder's ancestor that I share. It is nearly impossible to guess which version will be used. So today I was able to find the instructions for making a merge so not waiting on a reply. However, I will have to change to their spelling though all the sources I entered today do not say De_Wolf. Have never encountered this kind of thing before. Thanks so much!
Lee
I wanted to let you know that when I just visited my Burel / Burelle ancestors the issue was all straightened out by the Acadian Project. So now my ancestors there reach back to the early 1600s when the French first arrived to modern-day Nova Scotia. And my dna connection to them was amazing to see!!
Thanks again! Lee
