Sir John Wrottesley was a member of the aristocracy in England.

Biography

He is the son of Rev. Sir Richard Wrottesley, 7th Bt. and Mary Leveson-Gower. He was born on 22 Dec 1744 and he married Hon. Frances Courtenay, daughter of William Courtenay, 1st Viscount Courtenay of Powderham Castle and Lady Frances Finch, on 7 June 1770. He was elected (M.P.) Newcastle-under-Lyme and Staffordshire 1768–87. He was Page of Honour to his majesty George III, Master Horse to HRH the Duke of York. He died on 23 April 1787.
