I wish to announce my public appreciation for Oliver Stegen of the Germany project. In the last month he has broken a big brick wall for me in the Gause family of Hohenbostel, Uelzen, Niedersachsen, Germany, as well as fleshed out families in the surrounding areas, many of whom have likely interacted with my ancestors. As a new contributor of our One Place Study on Landkreis Uelzen, I have seen Oliver already provide HUGE updates of the surnames of individual villages and the region as a whole, bringing us ever closer to understanding this innately interconnected section of Germany.
