We're looking at some notable Ontarians in the Connection Finder this week, such as Justin Trudeau, Canadian Prime Minister. This follows our first WikiTree 7x7 Challenge of 2023, in partnership with Ontario Ancestors.

I am SO very excited about both of these relations, because until just very recently, they were blocked by a very long-standing brick wall.  A HUGE heartfelt thankyou to the kind Secret Santa Elf of 2022 who broke down the brick wall and answered the question we have wondered for so long--who were the parents of my great-great grandfather, Joseph LaFave (actually Lefebvre, I now know, thank you Secret Santa Elf!), who was born in Quebec?  When that brick wall came tumbling down, so many new connections and relationships were made apparent, and I am overjoyed!  Thank you so much, Secret Santa Elf of 2022!  (If only my dear grandmother, family historian before me, were still alive to hear the news!)

I traced my Wilson-Mills into Ontario from New York, my 3X grandfather moved into Kingston, Ontario around the 1820s.  He established his family in Picton, Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada.  He was written in an article "Pioneer of Picton".  This research gave much insight into his life.  His family owned Mills and Foundries in Glenora, Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada. My grandfather left Canada during WW1 to serve the RCA in England.  My father was born in England, and the family moved to Connecticut around 1930.  We later discovered that Stewart Wilson born 1795 was adopted by the Wilson Family and his paternal line is Van Der Meulen-Mills.  (his birth mother married Charles Wilson)
