I just heard about her death on national public radio. I am bereft. Tina Turner was  a major icon and such a powerful and progressive woman. I also resonated with her practice of Buddhism.

My very first concert was Tina Turner in 1984 - it was the We Don't Need Another Hero tour. This is so sad.
