how do I find matches to my surnames on other people's profiles?

Question

Whenever I search for matches to the surname Cannetti the only names I get are from my own tree, managed by me. Can I be the first person to search this name?

I have been a member of WikiTree for a while now but am only now starting to really try to understand it. I realize that I really did not understand how it worked. I have been watching some YouTube videos about WikiTree to try to learn as well.

WikiTree has a little over 1 million members out of about 8 billion people currently living. Another way to look at it, 99 out of every 100 people you meet, don't Wiki. For some reason, I always thought genealogy had more interest. I recently entered a member of my wife's family and the ID was -1 meaning it was the first person of that surname entered.

You can search for a list of all profiles with the surname you want to find.

Go to the "Find" menu

From the Find menu go to "Search"

Search will take you to a page that lets you search for an individual or search for a Surname (you may need to scroll down to see it).  You will then get a list of profiles with that surname (as LNAB and Current Last Name)

Do this on any profile.  Click on their surname.
