Looking for confirmation that Amos Willingham (born 1810 in Georgia) is the son of Thomas Willingham and Rebecca Humphries. I came across this family history page where the source is "'Old' Amos was born in Oglethorpe Co., Georgia in 1810. In that year there were 2 Jesse Willingham's and 2 Thomas Willingham's listed in Oglethorpe County. I have always believed that one of the Jesse's was his father. I had just about decided that Jesse, Sr. was Amos's father when a family bible was uncovered that stated his fathers name as Thomas and his mother as Rebecca." without saying anything else about it.

Hi, I'm not very familiar with US records and need some help with this one. My connection to Zsa Zsa is via Larkin Field Larkin Field (abt.1821-1885) and his possible mother Rachel (McFarland) Field (1796-1856) and then her mother Margaret (Sargent) McFarland (abt.1770-1804).

If I can't find more source records, I may have to try a different route to Zsa Zsa via another of her husbands - plenty to choose from.

Any help gratefully appreciated

I've done all that I can do (sans pre-1500 certification in Brigham Young's line); so, I'm on to the next Team :)

This is a long-shot, but I won't pursue it in earnest if it doesn't count:

FamilySearch says my "Relationship to Zsa Zsa Gabor: The wife of my 11th cousin twice removed [being] Joshua Seney Cosden (1914-1988). Presumptively, this is via her listed husband

Joshua Stanley Cosden Jr. (1928 - 2007) [?]

For this "play" in the game, would that connection count as a "win," (assuming I can make all the other, apparently missing connections with confidence LOL) if I were to prove all of his connections to me, since the connection to Zsa Zsa and Joshua seems to be by marriage and presumptively genealogically defined?
Thanks!

Things have changed...

Notes: I entered the Young Team, but the remaining non-confident relationship is out of reach to me because it's a pre-1500 profile. So barring that being completed, I am at somewhat of a standstill, so I dove into the Cosden relationship to Gabor.

So, IF double-teaming is not an issue... The connection that I have to Gabor is via her Cosden husband, and I would like to work that, and started knowing that it might be gratis, but also to ask if others have any expertise with the Cosden line? I went as far back as Thomas Cosden, but my blood relationship actually picks up via his son by my Elizabeth (Thompson) Cosden (-aft.1671) (Thomas Cosden's wife) cousin relationship; it gets pretty complicated because of the MRCA arc, which also makes me once again wonder whether I have to have "all confident" relations on the descent to me, or is it just the line from the Gabor profile to the oldest ancestor "with confidence?" In other words, is the below-accessible diagram all that is required (once all relations are found to be confident), or do I need to have confident relationships from the MRCA to me to "win?"

NOTE: I built the large majority of the Cosden line, much of which has sufficient, but limited sourcing. A few unknown confidence generations remain among the Cosdens, but I haven't checked all of the missing sources via alternate spellings of the surname, of which there are a handful...

For the pedigrees, see the Relationship Finder (wikitree.com) that demonstrates:

Joshua and Porter are 16th cousins once removed

Joshua Seney Cosden (1914-1988) and Porter Fann are both descendants of Eleanor (Beaufort) Spencer (1431-1501).

...

This makes Eleanor the 15th great grandmother of Joshua.

...

This makes Eleanor the 16th great grandmother of Porter.

BTW: Her listed husband at the time of the first message above from me was incorrect: his older brother, Stanley, was misapplied (probably confused because Seney was thought to be a mis-spelling on Stanley, perhaps) as her spouse. I have since corrected that relationship.
