I did some more digging today looking for Margretta. As she is married in the 1871 Census of Canada, I went back to the 1861 hoping to find her living with her parents. There is a single Margaret Fralick of the right age, 22, in the Census of Canada West (Census of 1861 Canada East, Canada West, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia; Picton township, District 3, Prince Edward County, Canada West; pg 25, line 15.). Not a single "Margretta", so perhaps this was anglicized to "Margaret"? This individual was living with her widowed mother, Catherine Fralick (ibid, line 13), aged 62, and brother, James Fralick ( ibid, line 14), aged 26. This family unit does not appear in the 1851 Census, though there is a headstone in the Glenwood Cmty, Picton, Ontario of a James L Fralick (1834- 1920) which might be her brother James if the above family should prove to be Margretta's. Another line of inquiry may be to investigate the Niagara Falls region where Edgar Ernst Parsons' (Margretta's son) death records indicate she was born.
