Hi Michele, could you add more info please like "who" would you like birth certificate info on or "where" (state or county) you would like to find a birth certificate etc..The more info you give the better your results will be!! Thanks.

Which country are you asking about? A birth certificate usually has the date of the actual birth and the date that the parents went to register the child.

An official birth certificate will always have the actual date of birth unless it is unknown for some reason but that would be extremely rare. There are many older records where birth information was recorded by hand in ledgers and may contain errors, but unless it specifies baptism or christening, it is usually pretty reliable for the date of birth.
