familysearch links him to Ellen Quann but none of the profiles for her seem well sourced. Does anyone have sources I don't know of who might be able to help me break this brickwall? Thanks!

There's a problem, Patric born 1800, children born 1860-`1870 +

Yup, wife's name, childrens' mother is Ellen Quan or Quann, but Ellen born 1800 too.

Children probably were grandchildren if Pat and Ellen had children.

I agree. I found a marriage in 1867. In Dungarvan, Ireland. Is that them? It is just an index with a bunch of names.

There are many entries (some duplicates) which correlate to the census including James.
