Can’t find the William Payne that married [[Huff-1364 | Mary Huff]] b. 1797 I see a William Payne but someone has his as husband to a Sarah. Thanks again for any help. this is this James Payne’s parents I’m talking about.

He served in 4th Battalion,Cavalry,4 Regiment,Cavalry Militia.
You could contact Civil War records,Doubt would show
parents,but worth a try.1850 census spelled Pane,born 1814
Tennessee.

I may work on Huff Family for a month or so I’m very interested in this line, I’d like to know what boats they came over on and what country they from. Bill has my line connected way back in the day 1600’s they was probably big land owners in South Carolina being they married into the Spearman line my moms family line. Thanks again for helping
