Biography
Johann Hesse hat deutsche Wurzeln im Bereich des heutigen Niedersachsen, Deutschland.
Johann Heinrich was born in 1811 in Algesdorf, the son of Johann Friedrich Hesse and Catharine Engel née Schermer. He was baptized in Rodenberg in 1811.
Probably before 1849, he married Dorothea Charlotte née Matthias, also of Algesdorf. The couple had at least seven children.
In 1867, the family emigrated to Bremer County, Iowa, aboard the ship "Union".
John Hesse passed away in Dec 1875 and was buried at Immanuel Church Cemetery, Klinger, Bremer County, Iowa.
