Hugh had four sons who married the daughters & coheirs of Gilbert de Culceth of Culceth.[1] These marriages were granted to Hugh by William le Boteler.[2] Three of his sons (Richard, Thomas & Robert FitzHugh de Hindley), assumed different surnames after marriage.[1] His son Adam is said to have carry on the family name.[3]
Richard Culceth (nee FitzHugh de Hindley) married Margaret Culceth.[1]
Thomas Holcroft (nee FitzHugh de Hindley) Thomas assumed the surname HOLCROFT after marriage.[4] He married Joan Culceth.[1]
Adam FitzHugh de Hindley (aka Adam de Peasfalong) married Beatrix? Culceth.[1]
Robert Risley (nee FitzHugh de Hindley)[2] Robert is said to be the fourth son of Hugh de Hindley.[5] He married Ellen Culceth.[1]
