Brooks[1][2][3] postulated that the Geoffrey de Marisco who was recorded in 1166 holding a half fee at Huntspill, Somerset, in the Honor of Bampton, was the father of a Robert de Marisco who was recorded in the Devon Pipe Roll 1175-1180.
Geoffrey may also have been the Geoffrey de Marisco holding a fifth part of a knight’s fee of Henry de Novo Mercato [Newmarch] which Brooks speculated could have been Lundy Island.[1]
