Medlands introduces Godfrey's son Arnoul/ Arnaud thus:
'ARNAUD, son of GODEFROI Comte de Hainaut [GOTTFRIED associate Duke of [Lower] Lotharingia] & his wife Alpaide ---] (-22 Oct [1002/10])'
and he is described as Seigneur de Florennes, with Rumigny not mentioned till the time of the first Nicholas.
My instinct would be to describe Godfrey as 'Godefroy, Count of Hainault', but I can see there are many arguments about English / French, and modern / mediaeval forms. In the Medlands section on Hainaut, he is called 'Gottfried', rightly assuming, I think, that he spoke a form of German.
