Biography

Mehitable Snowden, daughter of William Snowden and Mehitable Stearns, was born on 05 Dec 1745 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts. ^[1]

Mehitable Snowden was married to Samuel Greenleaf, son of Jonathan Greenleaf and Mary Cunningham, ^[2] on 17 Nov 1763 at Boston, ^[3] where they settled and had 1 son and 3 daughters born 1764-1770. ^[4] There is no known record of Mehitable after youngest child Mary Snowden Greenleaf was born on 11 Aug 1770. ^[5]

Private Samuel Greenleaf served in the Massachusetts Militia during the Revolutionary War from 07 May 1777 through his final discharge on 01 Jan 1780, ^[6] and died soon afterward in Boston in a smallpox epidemic prior to his probate inventory dated 14 Jul 1780. ^[7]
