Old Bartlett & Peacock family photo 1930

A very old 1930 family photograph at Fred Bartlett Farm, in Homer, NY. Marjorie Bartlett is the short one, at age 7.

Fun 1930 photo of Bartlett and Peacock relatives at the Bartlett back dooryard, Scott Road, Homer, New York... The short girl is Marjorie Bartlett, my mother at age 7. Center older lady is Anna Peacock Bartlett, my mother's mother, my grandmother. Right end older lady is Pheobe Peacock. I almost said Levina Peacock, but she died by then. Yes, Levina died in Feb 1930 and this is a summer picture Missing Fred in the picture, he died in Sept. 1930. On back it says: Jesse Peacock, Ernest, Vera, Anna, Marge, Leora, Phoebe, Ruth, Viola. I think we added those names one Sunday after dinner, a fun thing to do wth the aunts and uncles. We didn't want just unnamed photos, so after a Sunday dinner we made a fun time of naming people in the old photos. I like it, because I eventually inherited the photos to use in our family history work.

I was wondering why no Lynn, Kermit or Fred Bartlett, but maybe they were starting chores or something? Dorothy may be taking the photo. The four younger girls are in the photo with their mother and relatives. - Loren Fay

Another memory is mom's dad Fred Bartlett died in September 1930, by a fall in the barn silo, so this might be in September or October 1930?
