John Britton Boney Sr
Charles W. Britton, Sr., 80, of Marietta, died August 2, 2005. Service was held at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta with Rev. Richardo Bailey officiating. Interment followed in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park.

Mr. Britton was born in Sumter, SC. He had been living in Marietta since 1957. Mr. Britton worked for Lockheed Aeronautical Company until he retired in 1990 after 33 years of service. He served in the U. S. Navy, serving in World War II. Mr. Britton was a member of Kennesaw Masonic Lodge #33 F.& AM, the Yaarab Temple of Atlanta, the Kennesaw Mountain Shrine Club, and the Marietta Chapter of the Eastern Star #208, OES and American Legion Post #29. He was of the Methodist Faith.

Mr. Britton is survived by his wife Carolyn C. Britton of Marietta; daughters Cynthia B. Atcheson of Marietta, Gary C. Britton of West Palm Beach, FL, and Amy B. Flud of Woodstock; son Charles W. Britton, Jr., of Atlanta; brother George R. Britton of Columbia; granddaughter Kasey Flud; several nieces and nephews.
