22nd Cavalry, (185th Regiment), National Flag with battle honors manufactured by J. H. Wilson. The 22nd cavalry was formed in February 1864 from two separate units; five companies were re-enlisted troopers from a disbanded six-month cavalry and the other seven units were a battalion known as the "Ringgold Cavalry" originally recruited in Washington County 1861-62.
