We are going down to Enniskillen next month, The Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers museum is down there so I am going to take the photos with me to see if they can identify the uniforms.

Hi Tim,

Where did you get the photos from. I am assuming this is my granddad in these photos and not one of the other Samuels. I wasn't aware that he had ever been in uniform, Do you have any idea what the regiment is.

Hi Joan.

These were in a bunch of photos my Grandma (your Grandad's older sister,) & Aunt Mae brought back from their trip home in the 50s. ( https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10157799422474760&set=oa.10158448923968627) Then later photocopied and mailed back to Josie for Identification... The one is marked in the border "Uncle Sammie" then ID by Josie is Uncle Sammie, Thom's son, it is a 1st WW uniform, which I believe drops all the other Sam Conleys out of consideration. Lastly, sorry, no. I have no idea which regiment. I have blown up the cap badge on several occasions to no avail...
