This plaque is affixed to the top of the stone cenotaph for James, Daniel, Nathaniel and Abigail Deputy. Elizabeth Deputy Bennett was the sister of Daniel and Nathaniel Deputy and the daughter of James and Abigail Deputy. Fred A. Bennett II was the great-grandson of Elizabeth Deputy Bennett and the great-great-grandson of James and Abigail Deputy, and apparently the sponsor of this cenotaph. (Both Fred and Elizabeth Bennett are buried in the Slaughter Neck UMC Cemetery 1/2 mile away.)
