Another claim was filed November 27, 1899, for arrears of pay and bounty by the soldier named above (same service), and said claim was disallowed by Treasury Certificate, No. 317942, issues May 14, 1900, for the reason that he had been paid in full.
The soldier's name is signed by cross mark to this application and his post office address was given as 1125 Navarre Avenue, Toledo, Ohio, and his last known post office address was 1720 Canton Avenue, Toledo, Ohio. He was identified by Edward Ashby of 831 Urban St[reet], and W.D. Jordan of 608 Erie St., Toledo, Ohio.
Tracings of the signatures of the soldier are herewith inclosed from the company pay rolls to August 31, 1864, and February 28, 1865, respectively.

The records of this office show that in the case of James H. Jackson, late Pvt., Co. D, 54th, and 1st Sergt., Co. B, 55th Mass. Col'd. Inf., $100. bounty, Act of July 28, 1866, was allowed to the soldier by Treasury Certificate, No. 448,723, issued June 9, 1868. His claim was filed July 2, 1867, and his post office address was 88 Phillips Street, Boston, Mass. The applicant was identified by Lewis Hayden and Terrence Nelson, both of Suffolk County, Mass., and their post office addresses are not given.
A tracing of the soldier's signature from the application referred to above, is herewith inclosed.
