Trove newspapers website. The Argus (Melbourne, Vic. : 1848 - 1957). Tue 23 Mar 1954, Page 1. "Get that 'dingo' plead the husbands. ANGRY and frightened husbands and fathers last night pleaded to police to catch "the dingo" who has been attacking women and girls in the Burwood-Camberwell area [...] Newly wed Mrs. Alf Westneat, 24, who was attacked near her home in Kasouka rd., Camberwell, said: "I heard someone whistling behind me. Then there were quickening footsteps and all of a sudden a man grabbed me from behind, hooked an arm around my throat and threw me to the ground." "No mercy". Mr. Westneat held a protective arm around his wife: "If I get hold of the demon there'll be no mercy for him. I'll teach him a lesson he'll never forget," he said..." https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/art
