(cont'd from p. 1)
to do duty at the expiration of my furlough. I took the train to join my regiment but having no transportation or money the conductor put me off the train. I then returned home and wrote my captain (Jones) in regard to to the facts and asked him to send me transportation. I never heard anything from him although I wrote him two letters. I do not know whether or not my discharge was ever made out.
