I created this representation in Adobe Illustrator. This is not copyrighted, anyone may use it. I am recreating South Carolina Civil War Flags based on descriptions in the book "Flags of Civil War South Carolina," by Glenn Dedmondt. -- Laura Ward, Dec 2023

On November 28, 1861, Anderson's Brigade, along with the rest of Longstreet's Division, received Army of Northern Virginia battle flags. These 1st issue flags were made of silk, and the colors were muted compared to many regimental colors, or perhaps the silk was more prone to fade.

This was likely the earliest version of the 6th SCIR flag.
