I have no property to amount to over $100.

I am married. I married Dorcus Sanders in 1874. Neither one of us had been previously married. We have never been divorced or separated. I have two children under 16 years old, viz., Willie Gibson born Dec[ember] 23, 1883 and Leoanders Gibson born Jan[uary] 10, 1890.

As to origin of any alleged wounds; I have and know of no witness except Newt Butler and Hezekiah Stewart, Hedges, Ohio and Toussaint L'O Delany, Nashville, Tenn[essee] and they are all I know of who knew of my wounds at discharge unless my mother and said brothers.

I do not desire to be present or represented by attorney in this special examination.

I waive notice of further special examination herein. I have understood your questions.

I have dizzy spells ever since I came out of my 10 U.S. Cav[alry] service and sometimes I have fallen down from it but when I feel it coming on I usually lie down till it wears off.

My rheumatism, dizziness and rupture and heart disease are not due to vicious habits and I believe they are permanent in character. My heart has bothered me a long time by beating awfully at times and I can hardly get my breath from it and it makes me giddy and it seems as large as my two fists. No, I was never injured on spine or back. I have no means of support except from my daily work - manual labor. I have not done hardly any work in last eight years - have not been able on account of said diseases - have been fully 1/2 disabled in all of that time on account of said diseases.

Vol[unteer] Inf[antry]. No, I never had fits in service or since.

I had no dizziness in Mass[achusetts] Vol. service, but I have had since my discharge from it.

I suffered from rheumatism between my services by pain and swelling in my knees, and I have suffered that way at times ever since and pains in my arms too. I had no epilepsy between services.

I incurred my rupture about five years ago from lifting. It is on my left side. No one saw me when I incurred it. I have not shown it to anyone since. I have told a great many about it.
