Copy of a card announcing a memorial service for Adolph "Cook" Glassgold in 1985, inscribed on the reverse by Mr. Glassgold's wife Sophia Delza to identify the painting as depicting Elijah Lovejoy, one of a series by Glassgold called "The Martyrs", from 1981. Ms. Delza gave this card to Dwight Childers, a student in her T'ai-chi Ch-uan class in the late 1980's.
